Stephanie Izard: Life after Top Chef

Since so many young and aspiring chefs are trying to find a short cut to super stardom and monetary payout for their hard work through participation in TV competitions, Super Chef decided to find out more about the winners. The first thing that came across Super Chef's desk concerns Top Chef's season four winner, Stephanie Izard, who is busy doing special events. On October 29th, Stephanie, along with Top Chef contestants Dale Levitsky (season 3), Dale Talde (season 4), Lisa Fernandez (season 4), Valerie Bolon (season 4), Evangelos “Spike” Mendelsohn (season 4), Sara Nguyen (season 3) and Ryan Scott (season 4), and others will reunite in Chicago to benefit Common Threads. Each chef will host a table showcasing their prepared dish. The cost is $175 per person. Co-founded by Art Smith and supported by an impressive board of local and international celebrity chefs, the mission of Common Threads is: to educate children on the importance of nutrition and physical well-being, and to foster an appreciation of cultural diversity through cooking. If you can't make the Common Threads event, you can catch Stephanie at the Gran Meliá Puerto Rico for a weekend package that includes: accommodations, private cooking demonstrations and a gala dinner with Stephanie and other local celebrity chefs. Stephanie's weekend is November 13-16 (4 days/3 nights) and costs $1,125.00 per person.
