RIP: Dana Reeve, Super Woman

By JULIETTE ROSSANT Dana Reeve, wife of actor Christopher Reeve, died today of lung cancer at the age of 45. She had a PBS TV show scheduled to debut on March 29 this month called The New Medicine. Only days ago, she appeared in a nationally syndicated story in The Chicago Tribune, as she and the Christopher and Dana Reeve Paralysis Resource Center were mobilizing a big political fight against a fund elimination proposal by President George W. Bush. While celebrating United Nations International Women's Day today, First Laday Laura Bush did not mention Dana's death in her press statement. Dana's presence in American charity and philanthropy will be sorely missed.
