By JULIETTE ROSSANT If anyone doubts the Latin Invasion in New York cuisine, they have only to check out "A Slice of Latin America", the 6th Annual Gala in support of the Committee for Hispanic Children and Families, Inc. (CHCF) on March 9th at the Grand Hyatt in New York City. Chef Douglas Rodriguez of OLA Miami and a CHCF advisory board member, helped to bring together 30 chefs from restaurants including: Alma de Cuba, Bugambilla Lounge, Café Frida, Café Ronda, Calle Ocho, Centrico, Paladar, Ciao Bella Gelato, Cité, Commodore Grill-Grand Hyatt New York, District, Dos Caminos, Flor’s Kitchen, Hispaniola, La Palapa Cocina Mexicana, Maya and Pampano, Mercadito and Mercadito Grove, Mi Cocina, Pacifico and Sonora Restaurant, Rosa Mexicano, Sapa, Sueños, Thalassa, Tropica Bar & Seafood House, Victor’s Café, Zarela, and Zócalo.
