Iron Chef America: Milliken + Feniger v Bobby Flay
By JULIETTE ROSSANT ![]() Last May, Superchefblog wrote about being in the audience at an Iron Chef America taping that pitted Super Chefs Mary Sue Milliken & Susan Feniger against fellow Super Chef Bobby Flay (see previous article). The episode (IA0205) airs this Sunday, November 13, at 9:00 p.m. EST. The episode is noteworthy for several reasons. First of all, it is the first time that an Iron Chef America team has been headed by two chefs -- namely, Susan and Mary Sue. Second, since Mary Sue and Susan are already talking about it, we can at least discuss the secret ingredient without being the spoilers: it's turkey but not the way you're used to it for Thanksgiving! As previous contenders have done (e.g., Kerry Simon), the Too Hot Tamales will be serving some special turkey recipes from the episode at their restaurants -- Border Grill - Santa Monica, Border Grill - Las Vegas, and Ciudad (Los Angeles). Third, it marks the close of a heaving-hitting TV schedule for the Too Hot Tamales this Fall: Soap Talk with with Lisa Rinna & Ty Treadway, Simply Ming, Coastal Cooking with John Shields How Clean Is Your House. Of course, Bobby has been all over TV, too, from broadcast on CBS with Wickedly Perfect and The Early Show and guest appearances on NBC's The Tonight Show, with Jay Leno and Law & Order to cable on Bravo's Celebrity Poker, and a new cookbook.Super chefs: Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken Bobby Flay Video Preview: Food Network Previous articles: In the Audience of Iron Chef America [Food Television] Technorati Tags: superchefblog, Juliette Rossant, super chef, celebrities, chefs, food, restaurants, cooking, branding, cuisine, Television, Iron Chef America --> back to superchefblog |
