Hell's Kitchen a la Apprentice: You're Fired!
By JULIETTE ROSSANT Andy Warhol once said the everyone in life just wants 15 minutes of fame -- and helped give birth to Reality TV.Donald Trump is well known for telling contestants on The Apprentice "You're fired!" So, just how good is it to make a name for yourself on TV, like Reality TV -- and especially a Food Reality TV show -- and then "lose" the contest? Can you still launch a career? Talk to Tim Gray, 23, of England. (That's him, on the far right of the photo, above.) Tim appeared on the originial British version of Hell's Kitchen, called Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. He rose to fame by making Gordo "sick with rancid scallops" and black pudding, as reported by the UK's Daily Mail. He lost his job in the restaurant where the show was shot, Bonapartes, in Silsden, West Yorkshire. Apparently, Gordo offered a slot in one of his restaurants, but Tim passed for a shot at television. The TV career fizzled, though, so he retrained as a chef and went to work at the Herriots Hotel. Herriots Hotel in Skipton, North Yorkshire, just saw a re-run of the show -- and fired him because he did not tell them about working at Bonapartes. That's some mighty expensive fame! And this is not the first time we've seen TV scorch a chef. (Click here to read the full article in The Daily Mail.)
