David Bouley's Bubble
By Juliette Rossant According to Frommer's, David Bouley has taken over the restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach, his first signature restaurant outside Manhattan. At the same time, according to The New York Times, Bouley is finally going to open a market and cooking school, now planned for a building at Hudson and Duane Streets with Bouley Bakery & Market on the ground floor, a lower level market for produce, meat, and fish, a second floor cafe featuring drinks by Albert Trummer. A demo kitchen will host instructors from France, Italy and Japan.According to Epicurious, this flurry of activity derives from his recent sale of the Mohawk Building, scene of grander plans a few years back. |
