New York Welcomes "Cool Comedy - Hot Cuisine"
The chapter on Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken in Super Chef included discussion of Cool Comedy - Hot Cuisine, a fundraising gala which Susan and Mary Sue helped co-found for the Scleroderma Research Foundation, established by the late Susan Monsky, a college friend of Susan's.This year, the normally Los Angeles event is moving to New York City where on November 8, 2004, it debuts at Caroline’s Comedy Club. In fact, this is the opening night gala for the 2004 New York Comedy Festival. While guests on the East Coast get gourmet grub from "Border Girls" Mary Sue and Susan, they will be further feted with appearances by: Bob Saget, Tina Fey, Robert Klein, and the king of late late night (and newly annointed crown prince of The Tonight Show), NBC's own Conan O’Brien. All proceeds from the opening night show will benefit the programs of the Scleroderma Research Foundation.
